This year, our initiative, KRASH, looks for a more precise message based on the conception that using our minds correctly and focusing all our thoughts on a safe ride will help us reduce the accident rate on the roads.

The goal is to design a drone to detect landmines and improve road safety in Colombia.

This is the fourth year that our school participates in Your Ideas Your Initiatives. The program is now integrated in our school curriculum.

Our project "I am friendly, autonomous and sustainable with my environment" contributed to creating a civic culture starting in our institution, to then be expanded to other regional contexts.

Taking into account the causes of accidents in our city, the theme selected by our group was prevention. The most common accidents were selected and used in a campaign inside our school to raise awareness and prevention.

This work shows what 9th and 10th graders found out about people's cultural perceptions of mobility issues. Students worked on a campaign to show that being safe on the roads is an act of self-responsibility.

Medellín is one of the most polluted cities in Latin America and its traffic density is a factor. Our initiative focused on two ways to change the use of cars: promoting bike use and the design of ecological vehicles.

At our school mobility has been one of the main issues from the beginning. A group of students were very worried about the lack of safety awareness and by brainstorming have brought together different ideas to generate a change at our school.

This project is about the combination of teenagers, alcohol, cars and extreme speed. We want people to understand that we can reflect, that we can prevent. If we first think of a consequence. Sometimes we don't want to see the consequence.

The Designated Drivers project's main objective is to show the consequences of what can happen if you drive under the effects of alcohol. It also aims to raise awareness of the service of designated drivers that most insurance companies offer.

Congested 49th Avenue, that runs adjacent to IE Camilo Torres Restrepo in the Colombian city of Medellín, will be transformed with a pedestrian crossing according to the proposal 10th grade students at the school have prepared.

In this project we want to make people conscious and aware of what can happens when teenagers drink-drive, drive at high speed and without a seatbelt, among other risks. The centre of our project will be a song that makes people reflect.
