Our school was chosen to do a project on traffic safety. Our teams raised awareness of traffic conduct via a film, a game, and a presentation. People in traffic not only endanger themselves when acting irresponsibly, but the safety of others as well.

We composed a song oriented and an animation film for preschool and elementary school kids giving messages about road safety and we made presentations in several schools in a playful way to capture children's attention and facilitate their learning

Go With Friends

A project developed by 9th year students which set up the idea of carpooling to decrease the number of cars coming to the school. It works through a Facebook group where students exchange information and post their routes to organize carpooling.

"Carona Verde" - Green Ride

The Youngreen group, from German School Corcovado, has been doing environmental projects in the city of Rio de Janeiro since 2012. This year we were glad to participate in the Renault initiative and created the "Green Ride" carpooling system.

We, fifteen students from Grade 11 of Zhangjiagang Singapore International School, divided into three groups to research three different road topics. We then made actions aimed to promote the awareness of safety issues existing in our daily lives.

Nowadays society is looking for healthier, eco-friendly forms of transport. We found bicycles to be the best form of transport for our community. So we proposed to improve and create new routes for cyclist to feel safe and respected.

How to create more awareness of risky behaviour

First observe, then act! We found that situations of risky behaviour in traffic near our school are not so rare. By presenting our results to other pupils ‒ with the help of a miniature model, diagrams and a movie ‒ we wanted to create more safety.

After a car accident involving a student of our school, we decide to participate in this project to make drivers more conscious of the risks. This is a huge problem in our community, and there have been a lot fatal accidents close to our school.

"Never rush and you'll be safe"

We did a presentation for a primary class at our school. To prevent road accidents from happening in real life, we simulated some accidents to demonstrate to children how to behave properly while on the street; we also prepared a road safety dance.
